The Iranian Society of Cardiac Surgeons (ISCS) was established in October 2002 by a group of pioneering cardiac surgery professors, including Dr. Kamal Raeisi, the late Dr. Seyed Mohammad Bagher Tabatabaei, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Mandegar, the late Dr. Seyed Hamid Mirkhani, and Dr. Mohammad Ali Yousefinejad. The main mission of the Society is to enhance knowledge, improve the quality of healthcare services, and advance the science of cardiac surgery in Iran through education, research, and professional collaboration.

Considering the growing role of cyberspace and the need to update the Association’s communication platform, the new website of the Iranian Society of Cardiac Surgeons has been designed and launched to address previous shortcomings and provide high-quality services. This website, equipped with comprehensive features and high capacity, will meet the educational, communicational, and informational needs of colleagues, as well as support the Association’s activities in events such as congresses. Respectfully, we would like to inform you that the Iranian Society of Cardiac Surgeons, in support of the research activities of young colleagues and to enhance the scientific quality of articles submitted to the Society’s official journal, Multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Annals, has decided to implement the following measures from the date of this notice:
Financial support — The Society will provide funding to assist with the costs of preparing, printing, and publishing eligible theses and research articles in the above journal.
Rapid and priority review — Original research articles resulting from projects, theses, and patents of colleagues under 35 years old will be reviewed within a maximum of two weeks from the submission date.
Therefore, please inform residents, fellows, and young colleagues accordingly. It is understood that articles from professors and other respected faculty members will continue to be published promptly according to the usual process.
