The ISCS plays a central role in the academic development of cardiac surgery at the national level. To date, it has successfully organized:
•16 International Cardiovascular Congresses
•More than 130 one-day scientific programs across various centers nationwide

These initiatives have positioned the Society as a leading scientific authority and a trusted platform for professional exchange.

Publications

In its commitment to scholarly contribution, the ISCS has long published a peer-reviewed English-language journal. Formerly known as the Journal of Iranian Cardiac Surgery, it has since been relaunched as the Cardiovascular Multidisciplinary Annals, featuring a modern digital format, full online accessibility, and alignment with international editorial and indexing standards.

Professional Representation

Beyond its academic mission, the Society actively supports its members by engaging with health authorities, regulatory bodies, and national medical organizations to address professional challenges, promote fair policies, and advocate for the advancement of the specialty.

Looking Ahead

Recognized among the top-tier (five-star) scientific societies in Iran, the ISCS remains committed to strengthening its role as a national and regional reference in cardiac surgery. Through the launch of its new digital platforms, the Society continues to expand its educational outreach and foster an environment of innovation, collaboration, and clinical excellence
