Dr. Mahmoud Shirzad graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, in 1372. He completed his general surgery specialty and cardiovascular surgery subspecialty at Tehran University, training at Sina, Dr. Shariati, and Imam Khomeini Hospitals.
After completing his specialty programs, he began working as a cardiovascular surgery subspecialist at Tehran Heart Center and simultaneously serves as an active member of the center’s endovascular team.
He has participated in several advanced endovascular programs and courses in European countries and has become familiar with modern cardiovascular treatment methods and technologies at reputable international centers.
He is a member of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) and, in recent terms, has served on the Board of Directors of the Iranian Society of Cardiac and Vascular Surgeons as well as the Board of Directors of the Federation of Iranian Medical Scientific Associations.
